Become a Professional Dog Trainer

April, 1st 2003 - My name is Mary Yost and I live in Victoria, BC I have two dogs and one is an aggressive female black lab. she was particularly bad with other dogs. I tool Haley to two different trainers in the Victoria area and have called several others. the first trainer would shove other dogs in Haley's face or try and provoke her into aggression so he could choke the dog. HELLOOOOOOOOOOO Needless to say I didn't stay there.

I then decided to take her to one school that used treats for training. Lets not even talk about that experience. Meanwhile my dog was getting worse and worse. while taking the dog for a walk one day she had a fight with a Jack Russell and nearly killed him. I went to the vets with the owner of the Jack Russell, and while I was sitting there in the waiting room, trying to figure on how I was going to pay for the bills, I picked up a Dogs in Canada mag., and found the ad for Doug Morrison, and Morrison K-9 Concepts.

I then called Doug and enrolled my dog in his program. I couldn't believe it. Within days the dog started to change. She is a completely different dog. Doesn't even look at another dog while walking now and shows no sign of aggression what's so ever.

I was so impressed with the training I decided to take his DOG TRAINERS course. I started on 1 April, and will keep everyone posted on how the training is coming along. Mary YOST Victoria, B.C.

track2.gif (77055 bytes)Anyone can train a dog, but if they can't tell YOU, the dog owner, how to do it, what good is the instruction? Morrison Canine's state-of-the-art training centers dedicate their full resources to teaching students all aspects of dog training, from basic nutrition and health requirements of a dog, right through to aggression therapy and 65 topics in between!

Most important, however, is that all trainees are taught how to communicate their knowledge to dog owners in a common sense and logical manner so the owner of the dog can accomplish the training.

Since I was a little girl, my number one passion was dogs. After completing high school in 2001, I made the decision to make canines my career.

After successfully completing my dog groomer's course from PETS BEAUTIFUL INC, in Ottawa, I wanted to enroll in a dog trainers course. After doing much research, I came across DOUG MORRISON, of MORRISON CANINE CONCEPTS.

I proceeded to contact Doug. During our conversations, I was immediately impressed by Doug's background experience, warmth, and his approach towards dog training, and registered in his 2 month intensive " hands on " professional dog trainers course.

The past two months of my training with DOUG MORRISON have been one of the most rewarding, exciting experiences for me. Doug's capabilities as a teacher/Instructor, and his methods of training with dogs are remarkable.

I certainly have learned allot from DOUG MORRISON, as I have mastered his techniques and will continue to refine these in my career in dog training.

I want to take this opportunity to thank DOUG for teaching me during these past two months. Not only teaching me to be a dog trainer, but an Instructor for dogs and their owners.

DOUG AND JUNE, coming from Prince Edward Island to your part of the country was quite an adventure for me, being so far away from home. I will never forget how you both made me feel so welcomed with open arms and made always sure I was comfortable.

Thank you both for your caring and all our touring visits.
