Q : What makes Doug Morrison different from others?
A : Well, there are several things. First of all, everybody tells you what you really want to hear, because they want your money. I tell you what you need to hear about your dog. This sometimes does not make people feel happy. But I wont lie to you.

Q : I've read that I should stay away from dog training schools that offer a guarantee. I see you offer one?
A : Yes I do offer a guarantee, because I believe that I can give you the dog you want. Are the other companies afraid to put their money where their mouth is.

Q : I have taken my dog to obedience classes, but they just didn’t work. Why should your methods be any different?
A : Did you ask for your money back? There are many good trainers out there please don’t misunderstand me. But just because a person is a good trainer doesn’t mean that person is a good instructor. That’s what you need is an instructor, not a trainer. You are the trainer, I'm only the instructor. 

Q : What are your views on dangerous dogs :
A : There are many dogs that are considered dangerous. I feel until legislation is brought in to effect saying that it is the responsibility of the owner, and to make the owner of the dog both responsible financially and criminally. This problem will not go away.

Q : Do you believe in dog parks?
A : Of course I do. The problem I have is the owner not being able to control his dog when off leash. People forget about the fact when dog is in a off leash park, the owner must still have control over the dog. This doesn’t happen very often.

Q : Do you believe in disciplining the dog?
A : Of course I do. But you don’t have to abuse a dog. I think that if we have to start doing that to the dog, then we are the ones with the problem, not the dog. With my method , I take the freedom away from the dog. Very similar to disciplining a child. If we take the freedom away from the child it is far better than force.

Q : What type of training collar should you use?
A : there are 10 different types of training collars on the market, and I use them all depending on the situation.

Q : My dog is my baby. I don’t want to hurt it. I want the dog to have the freedom of the house because it's his house to :
A : If you believe your dog is your baby, then you have an ugly husband. Maybe you should consider a gold fish instead. I certainly don’t believe in hurting a dog , but the animal needs a structured environment to live a normal healthly life.

Q : Why do you charge so much?
A : If you check in to the other school and add up the different courses you will be involved with the price is very similar. I believe that I can achieve your dog doing all his obedience both on and off leash in 8 lessons. That’s right both ON and OFF leash. This also includes all problem solving.
